SSHSA Image Porthole
Welcome to the The Steamship Historical Society of America’s Image Porthole. Through this Porthole, you will be able to view tens of thousands of images of ships, ports and people from around the world. This Image Porthole represents only a fraction of SSHSA’s collections of images and negatives which we are recording, preserving and disseminating for the enjoyment and education of this and future generations.
An Introduction to the Image Porthole
To view the Image Porthole, simply click the button to the right. On the login page, click the “Guest Account” radio button and then click the “Login” button.
If you are an SSHSA Member, enter your account name and password both of which have been supplied to you from the SSHSA. Then click the “Login” button. Members have the ability to add comments in order to help SSHSA identify these nearly lost and forgotten images.
The Image Porthole is work in progress. SSHSA is continually adding to and updating it with additional images as well as the details about them. If you can help us identify any of these images and you are not an SSHSA Member, please contact us at info@sshsa.org
